Currently, we are one of only a handful in the entire United States to offer Computerized and Video Analysis of walking. Through a sophisticated network of computer sensors placed on the bottom of the feet and multiple video cameras to record the walking process, abnormal foot function can be critically evaluated and its influence on other parts of the body determined. The ability to show problems caused by the foot in motion means even more accurate diagnosis and treatment of foot and related conditions.

Called Gait Analysis, the benefits of this new technology range from relief of pain to the slowing of degenerative conditions and the prevention of specific muscle, bone and joint problems at remote sites. In fact, through early detection, the need for surgical procedures on the foot and other areas of the body such as the lower back, knees, hips, etc. can often be postponed, if not eliminated.

A vast majority of all lower back, hip and knee problems not caused by congenital conditions or injury are actually related to abnormal foot function. Computerized and Video Analysis of Walking can detect foot-related postural problems that can lead to knee, leg, hip, back, shoulder and neck pain. Even some headaches and jaw pain are caused by such postural problems.

Computer sensors gather an incredible amount of information in order to measure pressure points, problem areas and assess abnormal foot functions. Video cameras record the walking process. Strategic camera placements simultaneously view the front, back, close-up and overall angles of the body in motion. This allows for detailed slow motion analysis and critical evaluation.





All computer and video information is analyzed to isolate foot and related problems, and formulate appropriate treatment methods.
