Scheduling an appointment for examinations and treatment are necessary.

Podiatric procedures can require time. New patient appointments can last an hour and a half or more. Subsequent appointments can average thirty minutes. Make sure to allocate enough time so as not to conflict with other obligations you may have. When you call for an appointment, let the staff know the nature of your visit so they can tell you how much time to set aside.

We are best able to serve you if you arrive on time for your appointment. Being late infringes on the time allotted for other patients. If you have an uncontrollable situation that will cause you to be late, please call us so we can plan accordingly and attempt to avoid unnecessary delays. This will help us make good use of our time and continue to deliver the finest-quality care to all of our patients.

Canadian patients welcome.

On your first visit as a new patient, our staff will work with you to complete a questionnaire which will help us learn about you, your general health and other conditions. There will also be some additional administrative paperwork to complete.

During your time with Dr. Trachtenberg, he will also take a medical history, as well as a history of your current concern(s). In the process, he may examine not only your feet, but also observe you walking and examine your ankles, knees, hips and other related structures as well as evaluate shoes and shoe wear patterns. Additionally, X-rays, computerized and video analysis of walking, or other laboratory tests may be required to diagnose your conditions and assist him in formulating an appropriate treatment plan for you.

To accomplish this, close communication between doctor and patient is of prime importance. Please feel free to ask us about any of our policies, procedures, or discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
